Murder inquiry launched into Limerick man's death

Gardaí in Dublin have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Beaumont hospital last Friday.

Thomas Maloney Jr died from injuries he sustained in an attack in Dublin city centre more than two weeks ago.

The Limerick man, from Cosgrave Park in Moyross, missed the last train from Heuston Station to Limerick before he was attacked on Usher’s Quay.

Gardaí in Kevin Street garda station are leading the investigation into his death.
