IRA ceasefire 'not enough' - Reid

Northern Secretary John Reid has told the British Government’s House of Commons that the IRA’s ceasefire is "not enough".

Dr Reid said allegations of IRA involvement in a break-in at Castlereagh barracks in Belfast were of grave concern and added that people’s confidence in republicans is wavering.

"After four years, it is just not acceptable that either the apparatus of violence or terrorism or the preparations for it can be allowed to continue," he said.
