The Fianna Fáil campaign moves to Galway today as Bertie Ahern moves the party into full gear.

Mr Ahern is due to visit a number of towns in the county and is due to address a rally in Galway city’s Eyre Square this afternoon.

The party will visit Spiddal, Galway city, Tuam, Ballinasloe, Loughrea before going back to Dublin.

Fianna Fáil have two seats in Galway West, with Eamonn Ó Cuiv and Frank Fahy both sure of regaining their seats. The party now has its sights set on Bobby Molloy's vacant seat.

The campaign will then move on to Galway East where support is fairly evenly divided between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil.

The campaign has covered almost 1,400 miles already.
