FF to protect farmers' interests

Fianna Fail has promised to protect farmers and rural Ireland if elected to the Government once more.

At the launch of the party’s policy document on agriculture, food and rural development today, Minister Joe Walsh says that their are several upcoming negotiations on agriculture, such as the CAP review and the GATT talks, that are crucial for farmers.

He says that, if re-elected, he will seek to protect Irish interests at these talks.
