Two senior gardai have been chosen for the UN fact-finding mission that is due to go to Jenin in the West Bank.

Two senior Gardai have been chosen for the UN fact-finding mission that is due to go to Jenin in the West Bank.

The gardai have experience in anti-terrorism and will be investigating Palestinian claims that there has been a massacre at the camp. The officers will accompany Deputy Garda Commissioner Peter Fitzgerald.

Garda Fitzgerald has already been appointed police advisor to the fact-finding mission in the refugee town. The mission is to commence on Monday.
