Taoiseach welcomes new National pay agreement

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is throwing his weight behind a new National pay agreement. Bertie Ahern's comments follow warnings from the employer’s body, IBEC, that a successor to the PPF is less than a 50-50 chance.

Mr Ahern says, however, that he believes another pay deal would be good for the country.
