Man's body found off coast of Wexford
A man's body has been found off the Coast of Co Wexford. The alarm was raised when Fethard Lifeboat recovered from the water off Slade near Hook Head.
The body was recovered shortly after 3pm at Hook Head this afternoon by the local lifeboat.
Authorities were alerted this morning when a local fisherman found a man's clothing in the sea, and an empty cawl was later found near the fishing village of Slade.
The coastguard, lifeboat and local fishing vessels all took part in the search. The body has now been transferred to Wexford General hospital but the identity of the body has not yet been released.
