Govt announces €1m aid for Palestinians

The Irish Government is to give €1m in aid to the Palestinians to help relief and reconstruction following the three-week old Israeli military offensive in the West Bank.

The money will be spent on humanitarian projects in areas like the Jenin refugee camp, which suffered the brunt of the Israeli assault.
