Poll predicts Parlon to win seat

Progressive Democrat candidate Tom Parlon will win a seat in Laois/Offaly at the expense of Fianna Fail, according to a poll carried out by Midlands Radio Three.

The phone poll, which surveyed 300 constituents, was carried out prior to the resignation of junior minister Bobby Molloy.

42% of those surveyed indicated they would prefer a Fianna Fail/PD coalition government.
