Search ends for missing Irish Ferries crewman

An Irish Ferries chef is feared dead this afternoon after he disappeared during a crossing between Rosslare and Milford Haven last night.

The Irish crewman is believed to have fallen overboard during the crossing.

A search was launched a first light today off the coast of south Wales, but that operation has now been called off.

The man was reported missing shortly before the Isle of Inismore docked in Milford Haven and the ship had carried out a tracking search for him as it made its way back to Rosslare last night.
