Doctors call for total ban on alcohol advertising

Doctors are backing a total ban on advertising of alcohol as well as higher taxes on drink at the annual conference of the Irish Medical Organisation in Kerry.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has also been criticised for opening pubs rather than hospitals.
