Bishop stresses suicide priest was not linked to sex abuse

The Bishop of Killaloe, Willie Walsh, has reiterated that a parish priest who apparently committed suicide in Co Clare yesterday was not involved in any investigation into sex abuse.

Bishop Walsh said the media’s reporting of the incident has caused additional grief for those close to Fr Michael O’Grady, who drove his car off a pier at Liscannor Harbour yesterday morning after saying mass in nearby Tubber.
