ASTI seeks more permanent teachers

The ASTI has called for 2,000 part-time teachers to be made permanent.

Delegates at the secondary school teachers' conference in Bundoran have heard that the estimated 3,000 part-timers nationwide are discriminated against and cannot even hope to get a mortgage.
