Bruton: AIB should issue statement on missing money reports

Former Fine Gael leader John Bruton has called on AIB to make a statement on reports that €100,000 has gone missing in its Navan branch.

The Meath TD said: "The bank should clarify the matter and answer the following: Whose money is this? Is it customer's money or the bank's? Where did the money go?"

He continued: "What protection do customers have in regard to deductions from their accounts other than bank statements issued to them?"
