ASTI conference gets underway today

The ASTI begins its annual conference in Donegal today to review its pay campaign.

The conference is expected to hear criticism from within the union over the failure to progress the 30% pay claim.

There are a number of motions down for debate calling into question the direction which the leadership of the ASTI is taking in pursuit of the claim.

In particular, there is a call for the union to join talks on the issue of substitution and supervision.
