Sinn Fein’s deputy leader, Martin McGuinness, claims that Fianna Fail and Fine Gael are running scared of the electoral challenge that his party represents to them.

Speaking at an Easter commemoration service at Drumboe in Co Donegal, Mr McGuinness said that the more established political parties were afraid of the potential power that Sinn Fein could hold following the upcoming general election.

McGuinness also stressed that it was important for Sinn Fein to try to understand the fears of Unionists as they attempt to bring about a united Ireland.
