North's victims' names to be read aloud at service

The names of 3,600 people who died in the Northern Ireland conflict in the past 30 years will be read aloud at a memorial Good Friday ceremony in Dublin today.

The reading will take place in the Unitarian Church on St Stephen's Green.

It will begin at noon, following a minute’s silence, and is expected to last three hours.

The event will mark the signing of the Belfast Agreement on Good Friday 1998, as well as the memory of all who died in the conflict.

The list of names will be from the book Lost Lives compiled by David McKittrick, Séamus Kelters, Brian Feeney and Chris Thornton.
