Taoiseach 'likely' to form another FF-PD coalition

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has said he is likely to invite the Progressive Democrats back into coalition if in a position to do so following the upcoming general election.

In a newspaper interview this morning, Mr Ahern said he would even invite the PDs back into Government if Fianna Fail secured enough seats to enter power without them.

The Taoiseach also ruled out any possibility of a Fianna Fail-Sinn Fein coalition and said the position of Beverley Cooper Flynn, who was sacked from Fianna Fail last year, will be reviewed if she holds her seat as an independent in the election.
