Priest remains come home

The remains of an Irish priest, murdered in Uganda, will be flown back to

his native Co Galway later today.

Fr Declan O’Toole was shot dead along with his driver and cook by Ugandan

paramilitaries in the north-east of the country last Thursday.

The soldiers were executed by firing squad last night despite pleas from

Fr O’Toole’s family for clemency.

Fr O’Toole will be buried in Galway on Thursday under a tree which was

planted on the day he was ordained five years ago.

His remains will be flown to Dublin from Kampala tomorrow at 4.30pm and

brought to Headford.
