Road accident claims man's life in Offaly

A man has died in a road accident in Co Offaly.

The man, in his 20s, died when his car collided with a truck near Daingean, on the Tullamore Road in Co Offaly, at around 7am.

The victim is believed to be a native of Ballinasloe, Co Galway.

Meanwhile a 41-year-old man who died when the car he was driving hit a fence at Milltown, near Tuam in Co Galway has been named.

Gardai have named the man who died near Tuam at around 7.30pm yesterday as John Joe Mullins, from Adragoole in Co Galway.
