Speaking at the launch of 'Just Economics' today Fine Gael leader Michael Noonan said the party's ambition was to have a "society that embraces both a US standard of income and EU levels of social and environmental protection,"

Rejecting suggestions that this country must chose between ‘Boston and Berlin’ models of taxation and public services, Mr Noonan said that the ultimate goal for Fine Gael in governments would be to encompass both prosperity and the quality of life of all our citizens. He set out the six principles of fine Gael economic and social management.
