Two men were killed on the main Wexford to Carlow road when the car in which they were travelling hit a tree just after 3am this morning.

One of the men was in his twenties and the other in his forties.

In a second accident last night, a 24-year-old man was killed on the Fairyhouse road in Dunboyne, when his motorbike spun out of control.
