The row over whether paramilitaries on the run from the Northern courts should be allowed home without having to fear prosecution continued today, with Sinn Fein denying it is seeking an amnesty.

The Ulster Unionist leader, David Trimble, has said if such fugitives are not prosecuted, it will be the last straw for many pro-Agreement unionists.
