Govt announces €45,000 grant to Childline

The Minister for Children, Mary Hanafin, has announced that the Government will fund a review of the Childline service with a grant of €45,000.

Childline, which is run by the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, received more than 735,000 calls to its helplines last year.
