Body found 300 metres off Donegal coast

Rescuers searching for missing Co Tyrone teenager Brendan Rushe have discovered a body in the sand 300 metres off Donegal Quay.

The body was found just before 11am and is believed to be that of Mr Rushe, who disappeared 10 days ago after attending a disco in Donegal town.

Hundreds of Gardai and local volunteers have been conducting an intensive search in Donegal and surrounding areas for more than a week.

The missing 15-year-old was last seen at 4am on Monday, February 18, when he told Gardai in Donegal town that he was waiting for a bus home to Castlederg in Co Tyrone.
