Referendum Commission slams pointless poster campaign
The Referendum Commission has strongly criticised the poster campaign ahead of the March 6 abortion referendum.
Speaking at a press conference in Dublin today, Justice Frederick Morris, the chairman of the commission, said the posters are pointless because their conflicting messages are doing nothing to clarify the issue in the eyes of the public.
Most Irish households still haven’t received their information booklet from the Referendum Commission, but voters have been urged to read it thoroughly when it does arrive some time this week.
The Referendum Commission has also urged everybody to cast their vote on polling day.
