Deputy State pathologist begins inquiry into Cavan death

The Assistant State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, is carrying out a preliminary post-mortem examination on the body of the Lituanian man who was killed after an incident in a factory in Cootehill, Co Cavan.

Ealier today, two Lituanian men were brought to Cavan General Hospital where one later died from the injuries he has sustained.

The dead man was 35-years-old and was married.

Gardai from Baileboro were called to the scene just aftert half past eight this last night but the nature of the incident has not yet been disclosed.
