Unionists in the North have expressed fears of a new paramilitary murder campaign after republicans were blamed for killing a man in south Co Down last night.

Unionists in the North have expressed fears of a new paramilitary murder campaign after republicans were blamed for killing a man in south Co Down last night.

Matthew Burns was shot dead while travelling with his brother Patrick in a car near Castlewellan.

Patrick Burns was taken to hospital suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and arm.

The dead man was a local drug dealer who had been attacked in the past.
