Trawler tangled in nets off west coast

A lifeboat has been dispatched to help a 50-foot trawler which got into trouble off Ireland’s west coast earlier today.

The propeller on the Donegal-based trawler became entangled in nets around 15 miles off the Co Mayo coast.

The lifeboat hopes to tow the trawler to port in Ballyglass, where it is expected to arrive at around 8pm.
