The Police Board in the North are expected to announce today that they will not accept Chief Constable, Ronnie Flanagan’s offer to stay on an extra six months until his successor is named.

Chief Constable Flanagan’s resignation takes effect at the end of the month, but he had made it known he was willing to stay on longer.
