Govt receives daily complaints about child porn

The Government is receiving an average of one complaint each day about child pornography on the internet, according to Junior Minister Mary Hanafin.

The minister said a Government-run website on child pornography has received 671 complaints since it was established more than two years ago.

Mrs Hanafin made her comments as the Government launched a new code of ethics for Irish internet service providers.
