A man was recovering in hospital today after being shot three times in the thigh in an apparent paramilitary-style shooting, police said.

A man was recovering in hospital today after being shot three times in the thigh in an apparent paramilitary-style shooting, police said.

The victim, 19, was attacked by three men who burst into his home in the loyalist Mount Vernon Drive, off the Shore Road in north Belfast.

The attack was carried out shortly before 9pm last night, according to a spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
