Outsider must head Omagh probe - SDLP

The SDLP has called for an outside officer to head the Omagh bombing investigation.

Party leader Mark Durkan said he is not satisfied with Ronnie Flanagan's efforts to gain back the confidence of the Omagh community.

The SDLP is supporting the request of the North's Police Ombudsman, Nuala O'Loan, that an outside official should be appointed to take control of the inquiry.
