A search of a river was resuming today following reports that a man fell into the water.

River search to resume for missing man

A search of a river was resuming today following reports that a man fell into the water.

Reports were received on Friday night that a man had fallen off the Bann Bridge in Portglenone, Co Antrim, prompting an immediate search which continued on Saturday and yesterday, police said last night.

A military helicopter and boat were used initially to try to the find the man, without success, and police divers were then drafted in to the scene.
