LRC plans new arbitration time limits

The Labour Relations Commission has announced plans to introduce time limits on its arbitration in industrial disputes.

In its strategy for the next three years, the LRC also announced plans to review industrial sectors and individual companies in the hope of reducing the number of future strikes and disputes.

The commission will then target "troublesome" sectors and companies with the intention of eradicating potential problems before they become full-blown disputes.
