Device found outside prison officer's house a hoax

Gardai say a device placed outside the home of a prison officer in Co Clare was a hoax.

The Ennis incident is the latest in a series of devices placed outside the homes of members of the prison service.

John Clinton of the Prison Officers Association says the officer had been leaving his house around 6.30am this morning when he found a suspect package on top of his car.
