Reid says loyalists are waging war against the vulnerable

Northern Secretary John Reid has said a cowardly minority of loyalist paramilitaries are waging a war against the most vulnerable people in the six counties.

Following talks with trade union leaders in the aftermath of the murder of a Catholic postman, Dr Reid said if the paramilitaries got their way, then everybody was a potential target.
