Murder victim's family asks for no retaliations

The family of Daniel McColgan, the 20-year-old postman who was killed by loyalists on his way to work in Belfast, have issued a statement asking that there be no retaliation for his killing.

The young man was working in a sorting office in a loyalist area of Belfast and appears to have been singled out simply because he was a Roman Catholic.

His fiancée, Lindsay Milliken, says that she and the McColgan family were deeply shocked by his death but want no violence to be carried out in his name.
