Postal workers in North will not work on Monday
There are to be no mail collections or deliveries in the North on Monday following the killing of a postal worker by Loyalist paramilitaries today.
Daniel McColgan, a 20-year-old Catholic from Belfast, was killed when he arrived for work at a sorting office in the Loyalist Rathcoole estate in the northern outskirts of Belfast.
The North’s police service has been put on high alert following the death which the Loyalist group, the Red Hand Defenders, claimed responsibility for but security sources are indicating that they believe the UDA was really to blame for the death.
