Holy Cross children walk home in safety
The children attending Holy Cross School in the Ardoyne area of Belfast have walked home without incident this evening.
However, there are fears that violence in North Belfast may escalate overnight.
It was confirmed today that temporary security cameras are to be fitted within the next few days at a community centre on the Ardoyne Road.
The new security cameras would enable police to identify disturbances at an early stage.
Holy Cross School governor, Fr Aidan Troy, is hopeful that the weekend will be used as a cooling off period by both sides in North Belfast.
