13-year-old dies in road accident in Maynooth

A 13-year-old girl has died after being hit by a jeep in Maynooth, Co Kildare, today.

The girl had apparently just left her home in Ladychapel and was waiting for a lift to school when the accident happened.

Gardai are withholding her name until all next of kin are informed.
