Approval of wind farm construction expected

The Government is today expected to approve the construction of the world’s largest offshore wind farm off the coast of Co Wicklow.

The Arklow Banks Farm will be built five miles out to sea and is expected to eventually provide 10% of Ireland’s electricity.
