IRA slams Britain over anti-Catholic violence

The IRA has accused the British Government of allowing violence against Catholics in the North to spiral out of control.

In its New Year message, published this morning, the republican movement says Britain has refused to confront loyalist paramilitaries conducting a "pogrom" against nationalists in the six counties, particularly in north Belfast.
