Omagh meeting postponed
A meeting of the North’s Police Board to discuss the Ombudsman’s critical report of the Omagh investigation has been postponed.
A statement says the board has not as yet received the expected statement from Chief Constable Ronnie Flanagan.
On December 12 the Ombudsman produced a critique of the police handling of two warnings ahead of the atrocity and the subsequent inquiry.
The report made six recommendations, at least three of which fall into the ambit of the Police Board which is deeply divided on how to proceed.
At tomorrow's postponed meeting the board was due to hear a full response from Mr Flanagan.
