Northwest cattle 'given BSE-risk feed'

There are reports that cattle in the north-west were inadvertently given feed with traces of meat and bonemeal.

This type of food was banned due to fears of BSE infection.

The Department of Agriculture is investigating how the meal was contaminated and is continuing to monitor the cattle involved.
