133 workers to be laid off in Dublin
An electronics firm is to lay off 133 workers at its plant in Blanchardstown in Dublin.
Sanmina-SCI plans to close its Dublin facility and move operations to its plant in Fermoy, Co Cork, by March.
A company spokesman said last month’s merger of Sanmina and SCI, both US companies, means it is "not feasible" to keep both Irish plants operating.
He added that the company will help those made redundant to find new work.
Sanmina-SCI has been operating in Blanchardstown since September 1997.
