Petrol bomb injures one in Derry

A man has been treated for smoke inhalation after a petrol bomb was thrown into a flat he was sleeping in.

A man has been treated for smoke inhalation after a petrol bomb was thrown into a flat he was sleeping in.

The incident took place at Coleraine, Co Derry, during the early hours of the morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They have yet to establish a motive for the incident.

Meanwhile, an investigation is continuing into a gun attack on a house in the Ardowen area of Craigavon last night.

Shots were fired through a backdoor and a window. Two men who were in the house at the time escaped injury.
