3,000 homes without power in the North

Northern Ireland Electricity has said it hopes to restore power to houses affected by last night’s gales before mid-afternoon.

Around 3,000 homes were without electricity this morning after winds of up to 65mph lashed the north Antrim coastline from Cushendall to Coleraine overnight.
