Man killed in Tralee fire

A man has been killed in a house fire in Co Kerry.

The fire in the man’s self-contained flat in Ballyvelly, Tralee was noticed by neighbours at around 3am today.

It is thought the man was asleep when the fire broke out in the upstairs flat. The cause of the fire is not yet known but the scene has been sealed off for technical examination.
