Fire brigade battle Tullamore hotel fire for six hours

Several units of the fire brigade battled a fire for six hours at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore, Co Offaly last night.

Several units of the fire brigade battled a fire for six hours at the Bridge House Hotel in Tullamore, Co Offaly last night.

The fire broke out in the presidential suite on the top floor of the building at around 6pm.

The building was immediately evacuated.

Nobody was injured.

Christy May, the Bridge House Hotel owner, said they were lucky the blaze was confined to just one wing of the building.
